Fulfilling Chaplaincy Requirements through a Master of Divinity (M.Div.)

At Northeastern Seminary students are transformed in a dynamic and supportive learning community … they come to embody, articulate, and advance the mission of God in traditional and nontraditional ministry contexts around the world. Whether you're pursuing hospital, military, prison, or corporate chaplaincy, Northeastern Seminary provides a flexible, convenient, fully accredited Master of Divinity (M.Div.) to fulfill your chaplaincy requirements.

The personal and spiritual growth of every seminarian is just as important as the academic preparation at Northeastern Seminary. Students are exposed to the rich resources and disciplines of formative Christian spirituality through an innovative and integrative personal and spiritual formation curriculum.

Northeastern Seminary's main campus is located in Rochester, N.Y. at Roberts Wesleyan College. The seminary also offers classes at additional sites in Buffalo and Syracuse.

Master’s students earn a graduate degree by attending class one night a week allowing them to remain in their employment and ministry positions.

All degree programs at Northeastern Seminary are accredited by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS), the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and the New York State Board of Regents.
